Bharat Electronics Q1 Profit Rises 8% to ₹1,054 Crore

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) reported a consolidated net profit of ₹1,054 crore for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, marking an 8.2% increase from ₹969 crore in the same quarter last year. However, the profit showed a significant decline of 52.4% from ₹2,203 crore in the previous quarter, Q4 FY26. Revenue from operations rose 25.3% year-on-year to ₹5,533 crore, up from ₹4,417 crore in Q1 FY26, but fell 45.6% sequentially from ₹10,177 crore in Q4 FY26.

The company's EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹1,389 crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth of approximately 12%. The EBITDA margin decreased to 25.11%, down from 28% in the prior year. BEL's order book as of July 1, 2026, was reported at ₹72,258 crore, providing strong revenue visibility for upcoming quarters. Recently, BEL secured a ₹572 crore order for various communication and defence equipment, following another order worth ₹1,081 crore for similar products. The company had also received defence orders totaling ₹608 crore in May, enhancing its order backlog.
