Suzlon Energy to Review Q1FY27 Results on July 28 Meeting

Suzlon Energy announced that its Board of Directors will meet on July 28 to consider its unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2027 (Q1FY27). The company reported a 5.6% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit for the previous quarter, ending March 2026, at ₹1,114 crore, down from ₹1,181 crore in the same quarter last year. This decline was attributed to a lower deferred tax benefit, which fell to ₹284.32 crore from ₹600.75 crore a year earlier.

Key Details

Despite the profit drop, revenue from operations increased significantly to ₹5,468 crore in the March quarter, compared to ₹3,774 crore in the same period of the previous year. For the full financial year 2025-26, Suzlon's consolidated net profit rose to ₹3,163 crore, up from ₹2,072 crore in the prior fiscal year, while revenue climbed to ₹16,679 crore from ₹10,851 crore.

Background

The company maintains a robust order book of 5.9 GW, with 66% of orders sourced from the public sector and the commercial and industrial segments. In June, Suzlon secured its first commercial order for its new S175 (5.0 MW) wind turbine, a significant addition to its renewable energy portfolio. The order, totaling 105 MW, was placed by Sunsure Energy shortly after the turbine's launch, marking a milestone for Suzlon as it aims to expand its presence in the wind energy market in India.

Market Impact

The upcoming earnings report could influence investor sentiment towards Suzlon Energy shares, particularly in the renewable energy sector, as stakeholders assess the company's financial health and growth prospects. Investors will watch for the results on July 28 to gauge the impact of recent developments on the company's performance.
