Tehran, Iran – U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that the ceasefire agreement with Iran is over, following a series of drone strikes in the Strait of Hormuz that targeted multiple ships. Speaking at a NATO summit in Ankara, Trump labeled Iranian leaders as "sick" and "scum," asserting that the U.S. military response was significantly stronger than Iran's actions. The U.S. military reportedly conducted 20 attacks in southern Iran in retaliation for the strikes, which included projectiles aimed at Bahrain and Kuwait, as well as the downing of a U.S. drone by Iran's military.

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte described the recent U.S. strikes on Iran as "absolutely necessary" in light of the escalating situation. The summit also addressed defense spending and support for Ukraine amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.
