Suzlon Energy reported a 6% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit to ₹305 crore for the quarter ended June 2026 (Q1 FY27), down from ₹324 crore in the same period last year. The results were announced on July 28, during market hours. Despite the profit drop, the company saw revenue from operations increase by 22.5% to ₹3,819 crore, compared to ₹3,117 crore in Q1 FY26, driven by heightened business activity.
Operational Highlights
The company's EBITDA fell slightly to ₹595 crore from ₹599 crore in the previous year, leading to a reduction in EBITDA margin to 15.6% from 19.2%. Suzlon achieved its highest-ever first-quarter deliveries at 506 MW, a 14% increase year-on-year, while commissioning surged 2.3 times to 269 MW. The cumulative order book reached 6.1 GW, with 84% of orders coming from public sector undertakings (PSUs) and commercial and industrial segments. During the quarter, Suzlon secured record new order additions of approximately 1 GW, including significant contracts from Tata Power and the Waaree Group.
Future Strategy
In line with its growth strategy, Suzlon introduced its 'Suzlon 2.0' initiative, reorganizing its operations into four business verticals: RE Tech, RE DevCo, RE Projects, and RE AMS. The board also approved the establishment of a wholly owned subsidiary in Singapore to enhance its international wind energy and operations and maintenance services.
