Ernexa Therapeutics Stock Rises After Study Validates

Ernexa Therapeutics Inc. shares rose 7.43% to $6.51 following the release of positive results from an independent study validating its ERNA-101 tumor-fighting cell therapy. The study demonstrated complete tumor clearance and durable long-term survival in a larger cohort, supporting earlier research from The University of Texas Anderson Cancer Center.

Study Findings

The independent research found that ERNA-101, when combined with anti-PD-1 therapy, achieved a 67% response rate, with complete tumor clearance in 10 of 15 treated animals. In contrast, none of the remaining 45 animals treated with ERNA-101 alone, anti-PD-1 therapy alone, or left untreated achieved similar results. The findings suggest that the anti-tumor effect is unique to the combination therapy, according to Ernexa.

Future Plans

Ernexa plans to submit an Investigational New Drug application later this year and aims to begin a first-in-human phase one clinical trial in the fourth quarter of 2026. The company stated that ERNA-101 selectively targets ovarian tumors and delivers an engineered IL-7/IL-15 fusion cytokine into the tumor microenvironment, enhancing the immune response.

Market Impact

The positive study results are likely to bolster investor confidence in Ernexa Therapeutics, potentially increasing interest in biotech stocks focused on cancer therapies. Investors will watch for the upcoming IND submission and the initiation of clinical trials for further developments in the company's pipeline.
